Align the opener s rail with the center of the garage door. Unplug the existing garage door opener. Look for a button that says learn and hold that down until the light starts blinking. Even a newer model chain drive unit will likely be quieter than an older model but screw drives are noticeably quieter and belt drives are the quietest of all.

Install the bracket that comes with the garage door opener over the garage door using the screw gun. Use the open ended adjustable wrench to loosen the bracket and remove the bracket on the door and the bracket above the door.
