Mk5 Door Lock Sticking

The lock mechanism on the passenger side of my golf mk5 showed signs of becoming dead as it gave a few rattles extra after i used the remote and the other locks opened closed.

Okay it was a 3 dr but i remember reading at the time that the locks can get a bit confused and there was a reset procedure. If the central locking can be activated from the lock manually there are no communication problems between it and the central convienience module. This being the case the door lock module is at fault. Feck knows why but alex went to task and repaired the door lock module.

The lights always flash and the locks make a noise so i know the fob battery is ok and the signal is recieved ok.

I wander out to the car and hit the unlock button on the fob as usual. I managed to sort mine out. You can t do this without opening the door. All things mk5 mk5.

Taking the door card won t help you just have a metal wall with a few small holes for wiring. Matto s done a walkthrough on this. The door lock working in only one direction.
